If you sat back and listened to the volleyball games going on at Pearce, you would think these were the worst players.
We have a habit of announcing our mistakes with the famous words
My bad.
Sometimes it is said in conjunction with a hanging head or a wave to the team.
For those who are more confident in their volleyball mistakes, just say it and move on.
One of the interesting things about this well heard phrase is that many times, those words are uttered, even if it wasn't their mistake. They can be used as encouragement to your fellow teammates to help take the blame off of them.
I'm sure there are psycologists who could do a thesis paper on the insights of why we feel compelled to annouce our mistakes or take the blame for our teammates.
